Houston Texans move up from 16 to 15

There were some interesting stories going on for the Houston Texans this offseason. First fans were shocked when star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was traded away to the Arizona Cardinals for a second-round pick and running back David Johnson (who has had some rough seasons lately for Arizona). It wasn’t a great return on investment for the talented wide receiver, but then things got even weirder.

It was later said that Hopkins was compared to former New England Patriots tight and Aaron Hernandez by head coach Bill O’Brien. Understandably, the wide receiver took exception to this comparison. Feelings were hurt and the sides couldn’t get things patched back up, so now Hopkins will be lacing of his cleats in Arizona for Kliff Kingsberry and that offense.

Houston did add a couple of talented wide receivers though, as they landed Randall Cobb in free agency after a solid season with the Dallas Cowboys. They also traded a second-round pick for Brandin Cooks from the Los Angeles Rams.

Still, they lost more talent than they added. Having said that, this team somehow continually contends for the AFC South — even when we don’t expect them to. So, with that being said, we should probably expect them to once again contend for the AFC South. Because they always do.
