Round 12

  • Team 10* (12.01) – Damien Harris, RB, NE
  • Team 9 (12.02) – Darius Slayton, WR, NYG
  • Team 8 (12.03) – Darrell Henderson, RB, LAR
  • Team 7 (12.04) – Buffalo D/ST
  • Team 6 (12.05) – Tony Pollard, RB, DAL
  • Team 5 (12.06) – Daniel Jones, QB, NYG
  • Team 4 (12.07) – Jerry Jeudy, WR, DEN
  • Team 3 (12.08) – Justin Jackson, RB, LAC
  • Team 2 (12.09) – James White, RB, NE
  • Team 1 (12.10) – Henry Ruggs III, WR, LVR

There is always some trepidation when it comes to taking a Patriots running back in fantasy football with the way Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels have treated the position traditionally. Having said that, the buzz coming out of training camp and the situation at hand leads me to believe that Damien Harris might be a super-under-valued commodity in fantasy right now.

With Sony Michel’s immediate future up in the air due to injury, Harris might be the top ball-carrier on the roster with James White remaining the primary passing-down back. Yes, that may somewhat limit Harris’ overall upside but that’s why he’s a Round 12 pick and not higher. But the second-year player was a beast at Alabama and, with a year learning New England’s system, he could be a league-winning breakout candidate at this point in the draft.

Round 13

  • Team 1 (13.01) – John Brown, WR, BUF
  • Team 2 (13.02) – Baker Mayfield, QB, CLE
  • Team 3 (13.03) – Harrison Butker, K, KC
  • Team 4 (13.04) – Chicago D/ST
  • Team 5 (13.05) – Pittsburgh D/ST
  • Team 6 (13.06) – New England D/ST
  • Team 7 (13.07) – Ben Roethlisberger, QB, PIT
  • Team 8 (13.08) – Mike Williams, WR, LAC
  • Team 9 (13.09) – Noah Fant, TE, DEN
  • Team 10* (13.10) – Antonio Gibson, RB, WAS

I’m not as high as some people are on Washington Football Team rookie running back Antonio Gibson but, when he’s available at 13.10, I’m not going to pass up on the potential.

Gibson didn’t even get 100 touches in his final season at Memphis but what he did with his limited work in a crowded backfield was highly impressive and got him drafted in the third round this year. The rookie has explosive big-play ability that can break one any time the ball is in his hands.

There are a ton of touches available in the Washington backfield right now after Derrius Guice’s release. Gibson may take some time to get accustomed to a full-time or even part-time role in an NFL offense. But if he has any type of role that puts the ball in his hands, he has enough playmaking ability to become a nice piece on your fantasy football roster.
