NFC South Fantasy Football bold predictions

Atlanta Falcons: Calvin Ridley will outperform Julio Jones in standard scoring

Calvin Ridley has outnumbered Julio Jones in touchdowns (17-14) since 2018 and, with the departure of Austin Hooper, Ridley will also see an uptick in targets this year as well. Even though his ADP has risen quite a bit in the offseason, he still represents a much better value at WR16 than Julio Jones does at WR3.

New Orleans Saints: Alvin Kamara will finish as a top 3 RB in PPR

Many people were excited to grab Alvin Kamara at a discount after his lackluster 2019 season.  However, he still managed to finish as the RB9 despite only scoring six total touchdowns.

Even though the offense is going to be predominantly run through the Drew Brees and Michael Thomas connection, Kamara will put up consistent RB1 finishes through his involvement in the passing game and his ability to do something special every time he touches the ball.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: O.J. Howard will outperform Rob Gronkowski in PPR scoring

Don’t take this to mean that either will have a noteworthy season. The Buccaneers offense will be run through Chris Godwin and Mike Evans, with O.J. Howard likely catching a few passes between the 20s and Gronk being a red-zone threat. With that being said, there is no reason to take Gronk at his ADP of TE6. He’s a touchdown coin-flip, which you can find on the waiver wire.

Carolina Panthers: D.J. Moore will not finish as a top 15 WR.

D.J. Moore finished as the WR16 in 2019, nabbing 87 balls for 1,175 yards and four touchdowns.  Based on his ADP of WR11, people are betting on Teddy Bridgewater being able to increase those numbers.

However, with Curtis Samuel, the addition of Robby Anderson and Christian McCaffery likely to catch 100 balls out of the backfield, Moore just won’t see enough volume to put up better numbers than last year.
