4. Pittsburgh Steelers

Some people have said that the Steelers are not a potential candidate to land a running back given their current situation. After all, they do have James Conner, Jaylen Samuels, Benny Snell and rookie Anthony McFarland Jr. already on the roster.

While that may be true, Pittsburgh has been at their best under Mike Tomlin when their rushing attack has had the ability to lead the way. And Conner is the only player in that group who has proven capable of that — but his recent injury history is of concern.

Moreover, Conner is also entering a contract year where the Steelers must make a decision. If the price would be right, perhaps Pittsburgh could bring in Kamara to platoon with Conner — which would be mighty threatening for opponents — and then make a decision about which player is the best long-term fit.

3. Washington Football Team

Entering the offseason, the Washington Football Team hoped that former LSU running back Derrius Guice would be the future of the running back position. But after his arrest and subsequent release this summer, that’s no longer the case. And now Washington has some questions.

There are plenty of bodies in the nation’s capital, ranging from Adrian Peterson to rookie Antonio Gibson. Having said that, there are reasons to be concerned about every player, whether that be age, inexperience or general ineffectiveness.

The Football Team has a young quarterback in Dwayne Haskins and an extreme lack of weapons. To best make a decision on the quarterback and his long-term future, though, perhaps Washington would be willing to invest in Kamara and add him to the mix for 2020 and beyond.
