Here are five bold predictions for the Minnesota Vikings going into the 2020 NFL season.

Just a few weeks away from the start of the 2020 NFL season, the Minnesota Vikings and the rest of the league are preparing for what will be an unusual year. Even though there won’t be fans in the stands to start the year for Minnesota and there hasn’t been any preseason games, the excitement surrounding the team and the possibility of what they could accomplish on the field during the year continues to grow.

Following a busy offseason for the purple and gold, which saw multiple key players on both sides of the ball take their talents elsewhere for the 2020 NFL season and beyond, Minnesota will hope to pick up where it left off in 2019 with some new contributors set to take the field.

Last season, the Vikings were able to put together a double-digit win season after compiling a record of 10-6 and earning an NFC Wild Card spot in the playoffs. Minnesota tallied its third double-digit win campaign for the third time in the last five years, something it hopes to extend to two in a row and four of the last six seasons in 2020.

Looking at the layout of the NFC North for the upcoming year, the Vikings will still be in a position to put together a strong campaign while being an early favorite to claim the division alongside other teams in the division including the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions.

Although there are still some question marks surrounding the team leading into the season-opening game against the Green Bay Packers at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Sept. 13, Minnesota still has the expectation to make it back to the playoffs for a second consecutive campaign this year.

With the season officially here and the Vikings gearing up to hit the ground running in the regular season, here are five bold predictions that will take place throughout the course of the 2020 campaign for the purple and gold.
