Round 10

  • Team 12 (10.01): Ben Roethlisberger, QB, PIT
  • Team 11 (10.02): Latavius Murray, RB, NO
  • Team 10 (10.03): T.J. Hockenson, TE, DET
  • Team 9 (10.04): James White, RB, NE
  • Team 8 (10.05): CeeDee Lamb, WR, DAL
  • Team 7 (10.06): Derek Carr, QB, LV
  • Team 6 (10.07): Sam Darnold, QB, NYJ
  • Team 5 (10.08): Cam Newton, QB, NE
  • Team 4 (10.09): Marvin Jones, WR, DET
  • Team 3 (10.10): Tyler Higbee, TE, LAR
  • Team 2 (10.11): Sterling Shepard, WR, NYG
  • Team 1* (10.12): Christian Kirk, WR, ARI

This is the second-straight fantasy football mock draft I’ve done in which Christian Kirk has ended up on my team. While I believe people should be fading DeAndre Hopkins at his current ADP, the opposite is true of the other young Cardinals wide receiver (sorry, Larry Fitz). If you’re getting this guy in the double-digit rounds, you should be jumping at the chance to take him.

Kirk averaged only 10.4 yards per reception last season in this offense but I expect that to see a huge uptick. Hopkins will open up the field and allow Kirk to not just operate in the short parts of the field but also to use his speed to take the top off of defenses. He could be a low-key big-play stud this season in a high-octane offense and someone you might feel confident starting with some regularity.

Round 11

  • Team 1* (11.01): Tevin Coleman, RB, SF
  • Team 2 (11.02): Alexander Mattison, RB, MIN
  • Team 3 (11.03): Tarik Cohen, RB, CHI
  • Team 4 (11.04): Mecole Hardman, WR, KC
  • Team 5 (11.05): John Brown, WR, BUF
  • Team 6 (11.06): Antonio Gibson, RB, WAS
  • Team 7 (11.07): Emmanuel Sanders, WR, NO
  • Team 8 (11.08): San Francisco D/ST
  • Team 9 (11.09): Baltimore D/ST
  • Team 10 (11.10): Pittsburgh D/ST
  • Team 11 (11.11): Darrell Henderson, RB, LAR
  • Team 12 (11.12): Adrian Peterson, RB, WAS

Because Kyle Shanahan likes to feed multiple mouths out of his backfield, Tevin Coleman finished as the RB32 in non-PPR scoring last season. He got banged up at times in his first season with the 49ers and also lost touches as Raheem Mostert broke out. And with Jerick McKinnon returning, that could take even more touches away from Coleman.

Having said that, the former Falcon was the focal point out of the backfield before he started to get hurt and that went away. If we’re looking for running back depth, taking a proven player who might’ve just had an injury-plagued 2019 in a rushing offense that is one of the best in the NFL seems like a high-floor play in your draft.
