3. Falcons will quickly surprise many around the NFL

It’s easy to kind of overlook Atlanta in a division that filled with other talented teams, specifically the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints. But the Falcons’ talent throughout the depth chart will step up to the challenge of being in the tough division and will be a team worth keeping an eye on in 2020.

If it wasn’t for the early collapse that occurred in the first half of the 2019 season, the Falcons would have arguably been in the running for a playoff spot by the end of the regular season, especially given the second half of the season they had. But the hole Atlanta dug itself in during the first eight-game stretch was too much to overcome.

If the Falcons are able to avoid an early-season collapse like they had last year, they could certainly be in the hunt of both a division title or at least a team in the playoff picture throughout the regular season.

It won’t be an easy task for Atlanta to be able to put together a strong season and ultimately try and reach the playoffs for the first time in the last couple of years, but the mix of the Falcons’ high-powered offense and some of the improvements they made on the defensive end will be enough for them to raise some eyebrows around the NFL once games officially begin.
