One surprising cut each NFL team could make for 2020

Detroit Lions: Jarrad Davis, Linebacker
It’s only a matter of time before the Detroit Lions and Jarrad Davis go their separate ways. The No. 21 overall pick in 2017 hasn’t lived up to the team’s expectations and for that reason, they declined to pick up the fifth-year option on his rookie contract.
This means Davis enters his fourth season in the NFL on the final year of his contract. Sure, he could be playing for a new deal in Detroit but it still feels like this is the beginning of the end. And in all honesty, it wouldn’t be too surprising to see them go ahead and pull the plug now to save a little money.
Green Bay Packers: Josh Jackson, Cornerback
As a rookie coming out of Iowa, Josh Jackson was an intriguing prospect. Listed at 6-0 and 196 pounds, he offered solid length and great hands since he was a converted wide receiver. In his final season with the Hawkeyes, Jackson had eight interceptions which catapulted him up draft boards.
He landed with the Green Bay Packers in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft and started 10 games as a rookie. In 2019, he was relegated to the bench and saw his numbers decline sharply. He finished with just 11 total tackles and now has his spot on the team up in the air.
