With Leonard Fournette out in Jacksonville, it’s just about anyone’s guess what the Jaguars are going to do with their touches in the backfield. Having said that, Ryquell Armstead had a limited role in the offense last year and flashed, especially as a pass-catcher.
Armstead averaged only 3.1 yards per carry on his 35 totes last season but he caught 14 of his 24 targets for 144 yards and two touchdowns. We know that Jacksonville offensive coordinator Jay Gruden likes to pass to his running backs and the second-year back has flashed capability in that. As is often the case, this is a late-round shot in the dark but one that has some juice with opportunities abound in the Jags backfield.

- Team 7* (13.07): Allen Lazard, WR, GB
- Team 8 (13.08): Chicago D/ST

- Team 10 (13.10): Austin Hooper, TE, CLE
Maybe I’m falling for some fool’s gold here but I do subscribe to the fact that Aaron Rodgers is going to need a target in the passing game to emerge that isn’t Davante Adams. And if you’re looking at a weak wide receiver room for the Packers, Allen Lazard is the guy that stands out as the best candidate to be that type of player.
Lazard was second among Packers wide receivers last season in receiving yards, albeit with just 35 catches for 477 yards and three touchdowns. Still, he developed a rapport with Rodgers as the year went on, including getting 17 combined targets in Weeks 16 and 17. This is a dart throw but, with a 13th round pick, it’s a flier that could pay off if he’s a legit piece of the offense.
