As stated before, Micheal Thomas is the only wide receiver to target in first round. However, when running backs fly off the board, wise fantasy managers in the middle of the second round should snare a top-shelf wide receiver instead of reaching for a questionable running back.

Wide receiver is the deepest position in fantasy football, so ripe positional value will invariably be there for the picking in the middle and late rounds. Yet, it’s still vital to haul in a few top-shelf options in the early part of drafts.

The name of the game in fantasy football drafts is “value,” and there is tremendous wide receiver value to be had in the late second through fifth rounds of traditional 12-team leagues. Fantasy managers should aim to leave the first five rounds with at least two stud running backs and two sensational wide receivers.
