Chicago Bears: 5 Bold predictions for the 2020 season
Five bold Chicago Bears predictions for the 2020 NFL season.
The 2020 NFL season is almost upon us. After so much talk about the season not happening due to the COVID-19 virus, the Chicago Bears are days from the start of the season. Where once we thought a season might not happen it’s now
Yes, it was a bumpy road to the season. There were questions abound. Would the season start on time? Will there be a full season? How will the players be protected? Can there be an offseason without preseason games? Those and many other questions were answered to everyone’s satisfaction and now the season is on. Even a scare that occurred as a result of a rash of positive tests failed to derail the season. It turned out that those were false positives.
Now all of that is behind us and we’re ready for some football. Now we turn our attention to the season about to begin. The Bears made some moves that many criticized. Those same people predict another frustrating season for the team and its fans. They predict a losing season and some went as far as predicting them to have a top-five pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Of course, Bears fans are still hopeful. Just like the questions about the season were resolved and the season saved, they feel that all the questions about this team will be resolved as well. They expect a successful season in 2020. What constitutes success is at the eye of the beholder, however.
The Bears roster underwent quite a few changes. There are additions to the offensive line in the hopes of improving from last season’s disastrous performance. If the changes there do indeed bring about an improvement it will go a long way to changing the rest of the offense. This is badly needed as the defense again looks to be elite despite some changes there as well.
In just a few days we’ll start seeing whether the changes to this roster work or not. In the meantime, let’s make some bold predictions for the season.
