Arizona Cardinals: WR DeAndre Hopkins

2019 number one overall pick Kyler Murray lived up to the hype with a strong debut season that saw him named the offensive rookie of the year as he led the Arizona Cardinals to a better than expected 5-10-1 record. Murry was the star of the team and the heart of the offense but he did so, with all due respect to Larry Fitzgerald, without a true number one receiver.

So the Cardinals went out and got him one in a trade with the Houston Texans for some inexplicable reason did not want to pay DeAndre Hopkins what he deserved. Hopkins is arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL and has been recognized as such with three straight First-Team All-Pro nods.

In those three seasons, he has had no less than 96 catches and 1,165 yards and has done so with a carousel of quarterbacks throwing him the football. He has plenty of experience working with a mobile passer after two full seasons with Deshaun Watson and his ability to get open in scramble drills will be an incredible asset to Murray as he develops as a quarterback.

The Cardinals are in a tough division and might be a year or two from truly contending but the addition of Hopkins is a great step in that direction.
