Seattle Seahawks: QB Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson has become a meme this offseason as Seahawks fans are imploring the team’s staff via social media to “let Russ cook”. They feel that Wilson is hamstrung as a quarterback by Seattle’s stubborn commitment to the run and have proven through statistics that the team is at its best when Wilson is well, cooking.

Wilson is going into his ninth season in the NFL and as the starter in Seattle and is unquestioned as one of the best quarterbacks in the game. His ability to improvise and turn broken plays into touchdowns is nearly unparalleled in the league and makes him one and the Seahawks incredibly dangerous.

Despite all of his achievements, Russell Wilson has yet to be named NFL MVP but there have been several years where he has made a very strong case.

Perhaps his numbers are not as eye-popping as some of his contemporaries but maybe if the Seattle staff finally lets him loose he can lead them once again to the promised land and win some individual trophies along the way.
