Man, when you look at this Seattle Seahawks roster, there are a lot of things that will worry you. The offensive line remains one of those things, something that has been perpetual with this franchise. Moreover, you’d like to see running back Chris Carson stay healthy to help the rushing attack as well. And the cornerback group, though young and developing, is shallow and not fully realized yet.

What’s truly disconcerting for the Seahawks, though, is the front seven. With Jadeveon Clowney leaving after just one season, Seattle’s front four might be one of the worst in the league. And even though they traded for versatile All-Pro safety Jamal Adams, a lack of a push in the trenches could really sink the defense in a major way.

Yet, the Seahawks still crack the top 10 of these NFL Power Rankings coming into Week 1 for the simplest reason of all: quarterback Russell Wilson.

For all the issues this team has and has had, the dynamic quarterback has made many of the problems just go away because he’s that good. And with a dynamic wide receiver duo in Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf at his disposal, that’s not changing this year.

It may not be pretty outside of Wilson when he’s allowed to cook but the Seahawks aren’t going anywhere.
