3 Reasons the Vikings are ready to capture a Super Bowl
The Minnesota Vikings are ready to get over the hump and capture a Super Bowl this year.
It’s finally game week for the Minnesota Vikings and the rest of the NFL with the first game of the 2020 season taking place on Thursday with the remainder of the teams completing their season openers on Sunday and Monday.
While preparing for what will be an unusual year, Minnesota hopes to put together another strong season this year with the hopes of winning the NFC North title, making a deep playoff run and ultimately reaching a Super Bowl
With some different talent taking the field in 2020 after a busy offseason for the Vikings, they should still be able to field a solid team and should be considered a Super Bowl contender early on in the new year.
Last season, Minnesota was able to put together a double-digit win season after compiling a record of 10-6 and earning an NFC Wild Card spot in the playoffs. The Vikings tallied their third double-digit win campaign for the third time in the last five years, something they hope to extend to two in a row and four of the last six seasons in 2020.
Looking at the layout of the NFC North for the upcoming year, the Vikings will still be in a position to put together a strong campaign while being an early favorite to claim the division alongside other teams in the division including the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions.
Although there are still some question marks surrounding the team leading into the season-opening game against the Green Bay Packers at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Sunday, Minnesota still has the expectation to make it back to the playoffs for a second consecutive campaign this year and making it a lengthy postseason run.
Before the start of the year this weekend for Minnesota, here’s why it will return to the playoffs, will make another deep playoff run and will be a contender for a Super Bowl title this season.
