Texans vs. Chiefs kicks off NFL Week 1 from Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday night.

The Kansas City Chiefs will help to kick off the 2020 NFL season and NFL Week 1 on Thursday night as they welcome the Houston Texans to Arrowhead Stadium for the Thursday, Sept. 10 matchup. These two teams are familiar after a high-scoring playoff meeting between the two a year ago, which makes the Texans vs. Chiefs matchup to start the new league year must-watch TV.

Patrick Mahomes, the half-billion-dollar man, leads the Chiefs into another season fresh off of Kansas City capturing the Lombardi Trophy. He’ll be answered by another 24-year-old star quarterback who just got a new payday, Deshaun Watson of the Texans. These two elite young throwers going toe-to-toe is something you won’t want to miss.

Of course, the Texans have a sour taste in their mouths with the Chiefs after their playoff meeting this past January. Houston jumped out to an early lead by Mahomes and Kansas City stormed back and won in dominant fashion by the end of the game. Watson will be looking to avoid a similar outcome on the road in NFL Week 1.

With football’s return, though, everyone should be watching Texans vs. Chiefs on Thursday night. So we’ve got you covered with what you need to know to do exactly that.

More importantly, the Texans vs. Chiefs matchup is one to watch. Both teams are favored to make it to the playoffs out of the AFC this year. And given the fireworks that they provided in last year’s postseason meeting, the hope is that we’ll see even more in this rematch. If you’re an NFL fan, you definitely need to celebrate the return of football and watch on Thursday night.
