1. Aaron Rodgers is on a mission in 2020

Even if Jordan Love never plays a snap in his NFL career, the Packers may have still made the right selection in the 2020 NFL Draft. Green Bay took Love 26th overall, and it appears it may have lit a fire under Aaron Rodgers like we’ve never seen before. It may be early – after all, we’ve only seen one week of the 2020 season – but it appears Rodgers is on a mission this year.

Rodgers put on a dominant performance against the Vikings in Week 1, showcasing vintage throws and highlights that we simply haven’t seen in recent years. The veteran signal-caller finished Sunday’s game 32-of-44 (72.7 percent) for 364 pass yards (8.3 yards per attempt) and four touchdowns. Rodgers’ 127.5 passer rating is his highest since Week 7 of last year against the Raiders.

Perhaps the biggest takeaway was that Rodgers was on time and in rhythm with his throws. He seemed to be willing to take what the defense gave him, rather than automatically shuffling through his first read and extending the play outside the pocket.

Rodgers said before the season that he did some self scouting, going back to when he was playing at an MVP level and watching what he did differently. Whatever it was, apparently it worked. Rodgers is back in MVP form.
