Previous: 16th. Indianapolis Colts. 21. team. 46. .

Philip Rivers is picking up with his new team where he left off with his old one. And that’s not a good thing.

After a long and successful career with the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers, Rivers was allowed to leave in free agency after a season that was destroyed by his issues with interceptions. And in Week 1 with his new team, he again threw the ball up and down the field but finished with a loss as he threw a couple of costly interceptions for the Indianapolis Colts.

In an AFC South battle, the Colts lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars by a score of 27-20, which was even more frustrating for the Colts considering the fact that everyone was in agreement that the Jags were tanking this season. That meant it should have been easy for the Colts, but it was anything but easy.

Indy’s defense struggled as they let Gardner Minshew complete 19 of his 20 passing attempts and while his 173 yards through the air wasn’t overly impressive, his three touchdowns and no picks were.

The Colts still can turn things around and Rivers throwing it for 363 yards was impressive. Still, it was a rough start to the season.
