Pittsburgh Steelers (0-0): Plays on Monday Night Football vs. New York Giants

After missing all but two games last season, Big Ben Roethlisberger will be back for the Pittsburgh Steelers when they travel to East Rutherford, New Jersey to face the New York Giants in the first of two Monday Night Football games.

For the Giants, it will be their first game without Eli Manning on their roster since 2004. Of course, that was the same draft that Big Ben landed with the Steelers in — and with Philip Rivers in Indianapolis as the Colts quarterback, Roethlisberger is the last man standing with his original club from that historic draft.

Of course, he has some questions to answer himself. His elbow injury put him on the shelf but Big Ben was struggling before that. His finish to the 2018 season was rough and the 0-2 start to 2019 only added to the concerns.

Pittsburgh remained competitive even without him and they should be in the mix once again in the AFC North this season, and if No. 7 could look anything like he did for the majority of his career, they should be favorites for a postseason berth. Monday is the first step for him and the team to prove they can get back on the right track.
