NFL Power Rankings, Week 2: Cowboys falter, Ravens shine

Tom Brady’s debut with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn’t go as expected. The long time New England Patriots quarterback is with a new team for the first time since the year 2000, and this time everyone was expecting them to be a powerhouse right out of the gates.
With weapons such as Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, O.J. Howard, Leonard Fournette, and Rob Gronkowski it’s understandable why people thought that. However, in their first game of the 2020 season, they had to travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints, who were more than ready for the challenge.
The New Orleans defense made life tough on Brady, forcing two interceptions including one pick-six from Janoris Jenkins. They also shut down Leonard Fournette, giving up just five yards on five carries. Godwin had a good game with 79 yards on six receptions and Mike Evans scored a touchdown on his only catch of the game, but overall the Saint defenses made life miserable for the Buccaneers who lost by a score of 34 to 23.
Still, teams making changes like Tampa Bay did at quarterback are at a disadvantage this season. The Bucs are going to be fine and Brady will have them competitive soon enough. Still, a divisional loss isn’t something Brady is used to having happen to him much at all.
