NFL Power Rankings, Week 2: Cowboys falter, Ravens shine
By Randy Gurzi
With Tom Brady no longer playing for the New England Patriots, the Buffalo Bills have a real shot at winning the AFC East this season. They started things out looking pretty good on Sunday, as they had an easy win over the New York Jets by a score of 27 to 17. While that score was impressive, the game wasn’t even as close as that would indicate.
Buffalo dominated in every facet of the game, and Josh Allen played extremely well. He did have two fumbles with one being picked up by the Jets, but as a passer he was on point. Allen completed 33 of his 46 passing attempts for 306 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. He had another 57 yards and a score on the ground, showing that he’s a weapon both on the ground and through the air.
The defense of a strong too, holding Le’Veon Bell to only 14 yards on six carries while forcing two turnovers on the day. Last season, this defense was the strength of the team, and it looks like it still will be this year. Buffalo had a great start to the season as they look to make the most out of the new chance with AFC East finally being competitive.
