26. . . Previous: 2nd. Baltimore Ravens. 2. team

There was no team better than the Baltimore Ravens in the regular season last year. They started out 2-2 and after being trounced by the Cleveland Browns, they were tied with that club for first place in the AFC North. Then, they completely took off.

Baltimore reeled off 12-straight wins and finished 14-2. They were led by a dominant ground game as Lamar Jackson, Mark Ingram, and Gus Edwards were incredible. Jackson was also just as dangerous throwing the ball and he was awarded the NFL MVP award for his work. Sure, they lost in the playoffs but this is a team that’s built to win and win a lot.

Now in 2020, they look as though they haven’t missed a beat. Jackson was efficient with the ball and hit Mark Andrews twice for touchdowns. Also, they got even more dangerous on the ground as they added J.K. Dobbins who added another two scores.

The Ravens were favored in this one against the Browns but they didn’t just win, they obliterated their divisional rivals. They were better in all phases of the game and started out with a 1-0 mark. They’re still No. 2 in these 2020 NFL Power Rankings, but don’t be surprised if they find a way to knock the Chiefs off the top spot at some point this season.
