NFL Power Rankings, Week 2: Cowboys falter, Ravens shine

Gardner Minshew will have none of this Trevor Lawrence talk. The Jacksonville Jaguars starting quarterback had a very good rookie season but everyone was still ready to run him out of town. Jacksonville was looking like a team in full tank mode as they were letting players go at an alarming rate.
They traded away Calais Campbell, A.J. Bouye, Nick Foles, and Yannick Ngakoue. They also released Leonard Fournette just ahead of the season giving even more credence to the belief that the Jags were all-in on Lawrence as the No. 1 pick.
Then in Week 1, Minshew and the Jags came out ready to roll. The second-year quarterback had just one incomplete pass on the day, going 19-of-20 for 173 yards with three touchdowns and no picks. They also seemed to be just fine on the ground without Fournette as undrafted rookie James Robinson ran it 16 times for 62 yards.
On defense, they also had their share of wins as they forced a couple of picks out of Philip Rivers, spoiling his debut in Indianapolis. It all added up to a 27-20 victory as the Jags are standing atop the AFC South entering Monday morning as the only team with a win — of course, that could change when Tennessee takes on Denver on Monday Night Football but it is still quite the start for Jacksonville.
