Several NFL teams need big wins in Week 2 to get their seasons back on track.

The NFL wasted no time shocking us with several surprises in Week 1 of the 2020 season. We have come to expect the unexpected every season but even more so this year as teams had less time to prepare in the offseason than ever before and no preseason to work out some of the kinks before the regular season.

The games were perhaps not as sloppy as expected with penalties down from 249 in Week 1 of 2019 to just 181 in 2020 but there was a clear difference between teams that had continuity at the quarterback and head coach roles.

Teams with a new head coach went just 1-4 in Week 1 and teams with a new quarterback were 2-4 with Carolina being the rare team with a new face in both roles.

Regardless of who is running the show for the teams that had a rough start to Week 1, they need a victory in Week 2 to right the ship and salvage their season. We have all heard the stats about the terrible playoff chances for teams that start 0-2 and for good reason as a rough start can doom a season before it really begins.

Here are five teams that need to do everything in their power to avoid that dreaded 0-2 start and get their seasons back on track.
