3. Can Aaron Rodgers continue his dominance?

Aaron Rodgers torched the Vikings in Week 1, completing 32 passes on 44 attempts for 364 yards and four touchdowns. Even though Rodgers is a known Hall-of-Fame talent, many still expected him to get off to a slow start after his average 2019 campaign, where we saw Green Bay adopt a run-first offense that led to a 13-3 finish.

With Rodgers proving doubters wrong in Week 1, the question remains if Green Bay has changed their offensive scheme or if this performance was merely an outlier that will disappear in NFL Week 2.

In 2019, Rodgers only attempted 35 passes a game, a far cry from the 44 he attempted in Week 1. Even though their run-first approach led to a successful year, this new approach was clearly effective as they put up 43 points, more than they did in any game last year. It is also important to note that their defense looked weaker, giving up 34 points, also more than they did in any regular-season game last year.

If their defense is not as strong, then a clock controlling, run-first approach will not be as effective, meaning Rodgers may have to continue to air it out. With upcoming games against strong offensive teams in the Saints, Falcons and Buccaneers, the Packers offensive scheme will be tested and it will become clear what type of season Rodgers is going to have.
