Bold predictions for the Chicago Bears in Week 2 against the New York Giants.

Week 1 of the NFL season is over and the Chicago Bears are 1-0 thanks to a big fourth-quarter comeback against the Detroit Lions. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky‘s three touchdown passes helped the Bears erase a 23-6 deficit and come out of the motor city with their first win of the 2020 season.

Heading into a Week 2 battle with the New York Giants, the Bears are favored. New York (0-1) is coming off an embarrassing offensive performance on Monday Night Football, particularly in their running game, including Saquon Barkley.

On the flip side, Giants quarterback Daniel Jones had a pedestrian game and made a couple of nice throws including a touchdown pass to Darius Slayton. But he, and the Giants defense could not hold down the relentless pressure from the Steelers and thus walked away with a defeat.

The Bears offense meanwhile, is feeling a sense of revitalization after pulling a late victory out of the jaws of defeat. In addition, the Bears will be at home in Soldier Field, albeit without the Midway faithful supporting them in person.

Be that as it may, the Bears cannot afford to take the Giants lightly. A team with nothing to play for and no expectations can often be seen as a trap game for a team that is favored. The Giants know all about that, from a historic night in Arizona back in 2007.

The Bears meanwhile, have yet to experience that glory for the past 25 years. That said, here are three bold predictions for the Bears against the Giants in Week 2.
