DraftKings NFL Values for Week 2: Wide Receivers
The wide receiver position is by far the deepest in fantasy football, and the DFS format is no exception. Given the PPR scoring format, it’s imperative to start at least one stud wide receiver each week, especially in cash (or head-to-head) formats.
Calvin Ridley (ATL at DAL, $6,800) and Allen Robinson (CHI vs. NYG, $6,400) are our favorite values at the position; the former should benefit from a slightly gimpy Julio Jones, and the latter should get more attention from than a
There are a ton of terrific options under $5,000 this week for those looking to plug holes in star-studded lineups. We could go on and on and on, but we’ll just pick our four favorites:
Parris Campbell (IND vs. MIN, $4,500) should eat against a Minnesota Vikings secondary that served up 364 yards and four touchdowns last week. A defense that made a Week 1 star out of the previously AWOL Marquez Valdes-Scantling can certainly put Parris on the map in Week 2.
Unlike Christian Kirk, mentioned above, Scotty Miller (TB vs. CAR, $4,100) was a factor in his team’s offense last week, offering 12.9 fantasy points for the low price of $4,000. The minuscule $100 increase in price makes Tom Brady’s possession receiver a bargain once again, as Mike Evans continues to be slowed by injury, and Chris Godwin is listed as doubtful (concussion).
Corey Davis (TEN vs. JAX, $4,000) has been left for dead by most in the fantasy football community, but he showed signs of life last week by catching seven of eight targets for 101 yards. Expect the volume to continue, if not increase, with A.J. Brown listed as OUT this week.
Quintez Cephus (DET at GB, $3,800) is a speculative dart throw for those who just miss fitting Miller or Davis into their lineups by a couple of hundred dollars. Cephus stepped into the huge shoes left behind by Kenny Golladay and saw 10 targets. Similar target volume against a much weaker Green Bay Packers defense could allow for a major return on investment for DFS fantasy football fanatics in Week 2.
