DraftKings NFL Values for Week 2: Defense/Special Teams
The San Francisco 49ers (at NYJ $4,000), rightfully so, are the highest-priced defense of the week, yet they still might be a value as they face a punchless New York Jets offense that’s missing Le’Veon Bell. Start them with confidence and watch the points roll in.
The Pittsburgh Steelers (vs. DEN $3,800) defense should have their way with a Drew Lock-led Denver Broncos offense that will, at best, feature a less-than-100-percent Courtland Sutton. The Broncos backfield is also missing the shifty Phillip Lindsay, meaning the ground game will be much more one dimensional and easier to defend.
Only the most ardent believers in the mustachioed marvel Gardner Minshew will pass on the Tennessee Titans (vs. JAX $3,500) defense this week. The well-coached Titans defense is better than advertised, and the probable game script should put them in a position to force several second-half turnovers.
If our eyes didn’t deceive us, and the Los Angeles Chargers offense is truly that bad, then the Kansas City Chiefs (at LAC $3,400) will end up offering the best value on the entire DraftKings main slate.
