Five bold predictions for the New Orleans Saints in a Week 2 trip to Las Vegas.

Week 1 is in the books and the New Orleans Saints came out victorious. Despite facing the new-look Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they were no match for the Saints. While things did look a bit hairy at points, the Saints worked together and pulled off a win. With a final score of 34-23, it wasn’t a huge win but something to be proud of.

In particular, the defense played incredibly well and was able to get a lot of pressure on the Bucs offense. Overall, things are looking up for the Saints who lost their last home-opener to the Bucs in 2018. Looking ahead at this week’s matchup, the Saints are facing off with the new Las Vegas Raiders in their new stadium. The Raiders just barely beat the Panthers last week so it’ll be interesting to see how they fare against the Saints.

Before heading into the Saints Week 2 matchup, there are a few bold predictions to be made to hopefully ensure a win for the team.

5. Latavius Murray will lead the New Orleans Saints in rushing

While Alvin Kamara just got a big payday, we didn’t see him utilized as much as we might’ve expected in Week 1. If anything, the Bucs defense was able to stifle him and hold him to only 16 yards. He made up for it by finding the end-zone twice but Latavius Murray was the one to take the lead and finish the game with 48 yards.

Heading into Week 2, I predict that Murray will have another solid game. With the Saints locking down Kamara, they can focus on giving Murray more opportunities. Teams are more likely to expect Kamara than Murray, so playing him gives the Saints an advantage.

Additionally, Murray has more experience and, as a former Raider, no doubt Murrary will want a chance to show off a bit. While most people would count Murray out, he’s going to be an unlikely weapon for the Saints.
