The Houston Texans host the Baltimore Ravens in NFL Week 2 at NRG Stadium.

The Baltimore Ravens were none too pleased with how last season ended after they dominated the AFC in the regular season. Lamar Jackson, fresh off winning NFL MVP, looked motivated to prove themselves in their first game of 2020. Meanwhile, the Houston Texans had hopes of making a season-opening statement but fell flat against Kansas City. Now, the Texans will look to do a better job as they welcome the Ravens to NRG Stadium in NFL Week 2.

Jackson was dominant in the season-opener, despite not using his legs all that much. He looked improved as a passer with more proven weapons as Marquise Brown and Mark Andrews stepped up, in addition to rookie running back J.K. Dobbins. Just as important, rookie Patrick Queen was a star on defense as he helped shut Cleveland down.

As for the Texans, Deshaun Watson and a new-look offense had their moments but were no match for the reigning Super Bowl champions 10 days ago. While David Johnson and a speedy group of receivers are dangerous, Houston needs their defense to be better if they’re going to compete with the best teams in the conference.

Aside from giving us a matchup between elite young quarterbacks with Jackson and Watson, this NFL Week 2 contest between the Ravens and Texans has more on the line in just that. After last week, Baltimore will be looking to keep things business as normal considering how well they played in every facet to open the season.

For Houston, however, they looked completely outmatched in Kansas City against one of the elite teams in the AFC. For them to try and establish themselves as viable contenders for the playoffs, O’Brien’s team needs to give Baltimore everything that they can handle on Sunday afternoon and, maybe, avoid an 0-2 start.
