Fantasy Football: 5 Replacements for Saquon Barkley on your roster
1. Darrell Henderson, Los Angeles Rams
ESPN Rostered Percentage: 44.6
When the Los Angeles Rams drafted Darrell Henderson as a mid-round pick in 2019, many fantasy football analysts became enamored with his potential as a sleeper as worries about Todd Gurley’s health grew. Unfortunately, that didn’t pan out as he had almost no role in Sean McVay’s offense throughout the year.
So when the Rams drafted Cam Akers as a top-100 pick this year, many started to sweat the future for Henderson. However, Akers was another player who went down with an injury on Sunday in Week 2, which paved the way for Henderson to get touches. And what he did with his work was quite impressive.
On the road against the Eagles, the second-year running back out of Memphis took 12 carries for 81 yards and a touchdown while also grabbing two receptions for 40 yards. He looked the part of the dynamic playmaker that everyone hoped he would be coming into the league last season.
McVay has been adamant that the Rams backfield will be a committee this season. But with Akers likely to miss some time, there is one less mouth to feed in that committee. Henderson may not get a ton of touches but his big-hitter ability makes him a worthwhile addition for your fantasy football roster.
