NFL Power Rankings, Week 3: Packers, Ravens set dominant tone

It was tough to see Marlon Mack go down with the torn Achilles but the Indianapolis Colts were actually built to withstand such a loss. Behind Mack was rookie running back Jonathan Taylor who was taken in the second round out of Wisconsin. With Mack down, Taylor was the next man up and his starting debut went about as well as planned.
Taylor had 26 carries and went for 101 yards with a touchdown. He was tough to bring down and routinely picked up big chunks of yardage as the Colts were able to run the offense through him. Doing so allowed them to keep Philip Rivers from throwing too many risky passes.
The former Chargers gun-slinger was able to complete 19-of-25 passes for 214 yards with a touchdown — although he did throw his customary pick. Having said that, it was the Indianapolis defense that really stood out.
They made life hard on Kirk Cousins who never looked comfortable. He was unable to move the ball much at all and ended up throwing three interceptions as well. The Colts held them to just three points until a garbage-time touchdown and two-point conversion at the end made it 28-11. Now at 1-1, the Colts are in good shape and have something to build on.
