NFL Power Rankings, Week 3: Packers, Ravens set dominant tone
By Randy Gurzi
The struggles for the Philadelphia Eagles continue. After taking a 17-0 lead over the Washington Football Team in Week 1 and then losing it, they tried to do the opposite in Week 2. This time, they fell behind early as the Rams took a 21-3 lead before the Eagles decided to wake up.
Philadelphia scored two touchdowns in the final six and a half minutes of the second quarter, making it 21-16. They then forced a three and out to start the second half and promptly went on a12-play drive that put them in position to take the lead. However, Carson Wentz ended up throwing an interception on first-and-10 from the Rams 14.
From there, Los Angeles regained the momentum and ended up walking away with a 37-19 win. For Wentz, he ended up throwing another pick later in the fourth as he’s had a frustrating start to the 2020 season.
Philadelphia is now 0-2 to start the campaign and with Dallas finding a way to pull off a miraculous win, they now find themselves in trouble to start this year out. It was expected to be a two-team race in the NFC East and the Eagles are proving to have issues on both sides of the ball. They are hurting at wideout, their quarterback is still turning it over, and the defense allowed 37 points in this one.
