team. 51. . . Previous: 9th. Los Angeles Rams. 8

After two weeks, it seems apparent that the Los Angeles Rams are a better team this season than they were in 2019. They finished 9-7 last year but missed out on the playoffs but they really just didn’t look like a very good team to finish the year. Then, they released Todd Gurley and traded Brandin Cooks which left their doubters with even more fuel.

But now, it looks as though they’re as good as ever. Following a rusty performance in Week 1 that ended with a 20-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys, the Rams hit the road and flew across the country to play the Eagles in Philadelphia. In this game, they were able to win with a lot more breathing room.

Los Angeles opened up an early 21-3 lead and when the Eagles made it 21-16 and looked poised to take the lead in the third quarter, their defense stepped up as Darious Williams intercepted Carson Wentz at the two-yard line. As impressive as that play was, it was the offense that stood out for L.A.

Jared Goff finished with 267 yards and three touchdowns and second-year running back Darrell Henderson broke out with 81 yards and a touchdown on just 12 carries. The Rams and Cardinals are both 2-0 in the NFC West and it could be a close race between them.
