59. . . Previous: 31st. Miami Dolphins. 31. team

A lot of credit should be given to the Miami Dolphins for how they played in Week 2. They came into the game 0-1 following a 10-point loss to the New England Patriots the week prior and then fell behind 17-7 to the Buffalo Bills late in the second quarter this weekend. But they continued to plug away and even took a 20-17 lead in the fourth quarter when Jordan Howard ran in a two-yard touchdown to cap off a 10-play, 44-yard drive.

From there, the Bills took the game over. They scored two straight touchdowns to go on top 31-20. Miami refused to quit still, scoring another touchdown with 49 seconds left as Ryan Fitzpatrick hit tight end Mike Gesicki from eight yards out and they converted the two-point conversion on a passing play to Preston Williams.

That made the score look closer as they lost 31-28 but with how bad their roster looked coming into the season, the competitiveness they showed against a playoff team was impressive. Unfortunately, there are no moral victories in the NFL. Miami is still a struggling franchise and the losses could lead to fans calling for Tua Tagovailoa to get some action.

While playing the rookie is usually the best way to get them the reps they need, there are too many issues on this roster to expect Tua to fix them all.
