Plays on Monday Night Football vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Week 1 was a good start to the season for the New Orleans Saints in the sense that they got a big win. They were able to knock off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a score of 34-23 and this win not only soured Tom Brady’s debut with the Patriots south, but it also could help them later in the season when they’re needing a tiebreaker for their division title.

However, not all the news was great. In the victory, the Saints saw Michael Thomas suffer a high ankle sprain. With him injured, the team does at least have options — which hasn’t always been the case in the past.

This offseason, they decided to finally add a big-name free agent at wideout, landing Emmanuel Sanders. The veteran did have a touchdown in his debut but everything he did was on short routes, finishing with 15 yards on three catches. Having said that, this has been the key to victory for Thomas as well, who had 17 yards on three catches in Week 1.

Now, the Saints are looking to move to 2-0 and they face a 1-0 Raiders franchise that will be opening their new stadium in Vegas.
