For the second week in a row, the Green Bay Packers dropped more than 40 points on their opponent. And in each instance, it was done against an NFC North opponent as they’re now not only 2-0 overall, but they have a great start in the division with two wins.
In Week 1, they defeated the Minnesota Vikings by a score of 43-34, and then in Week 2, it was a 42-21 win over the Detroit Lions. That win knocked the Lions down to 0-2 and the Vikings are also at the bottom of the division with an 0-2 record, making it Green Bay and Chicago heading out to a 2-0 early lead.
For the Packers, it’s been a lot of fun seeing the offense click. Last season, they won 13 games but there was a lot of criticism of the team, saying they weren’t as good as their record indicated. The reason for this criticism was simply due to the way the offense wasn’t on the same page all the time as they learned head coach Matt LaFleur’s offense.
Now with a full season under their belt, things are starting to click — evidenced by the scores they have been putting up. That could make them a very dangerous team in the NFC. Right now, this looks like one of the most dominant teams in the entire NFL and they moved up in our 2020 NFL Power Rankings to the No. 1 spot in the NFC.
