NFL Power Rankings, Week 3: Packers, Ravens set dominant tone

The Jacksonville Jaguars hung 30 points on the Tennessee Titans but it wasn’t enough as they lost by a score of 33-30. That loss drops them to 1-1 on the season but they’ve started out this year much stronger than anyone expected them to, and Gardner Minshew is the reason why.
With everyone expecting the Jaguars to tank for Trevor Lawrence this season, Minshew has come out and performed well. On Sunday, he was able to throw for 339 yards with three touchdowns while spreading the ball around to eight different players.
As good as he was, the defense for the Jaguars has been a major problem. They made it easy on Ryan Tannehill and the Titans as he was 18-of-24 with 239 yards and four touchdowns with no picks. It was clear they were focused on stopping Derrick Henry, who had 84 yards on 25 rushes — which was quiet for him — but that came at a major cost as they were unable to slow the passing game down.
Jacksonville now has a couple of winnable games on the schedule with the Miami Dolphins coming to Jacksonville before a trip to Cincinnati in Week 4. They’re not likely to get the No. 1 overall pick now, which is an impressive feat considering how much talent they surrendered in the offseason.
