After beating the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1, there was some renewed hope that the Washington Football Team could have a good season. The biggest reason for that hope was how tough Chase Young and their defensive line was to block. But in Week 2, the Cardinals proved there was an answer as Kliff Kingsbury was a “mad scientist” against the Football Team according to SI.com’s Alan Lepore.

"“Washington’s defense did not have a consistent answer for all of Arizona’s offensive concoctions mad scientist, and head coach, Kliff Kingsbury came up with. Arizona RPO’d, read optioned, and screened Chase Young and the Washington defense to death. Arizona receiver’s were able to find soft landing spots in the zone defense and took advantage of soft coverages off the line.” — Lepore, SI Washington Football"

This was a stark reminder that Washington needs to figure out more ways to get things done. Their line made life miserable on Carson Wentz but the much more mobile Kyler Murray was able to get the job done.

The good news is, they’re still tied for first place in the NFC East at 1-1, and had the Falcons held on to beat Dallas, they could have been all alone in the lead for a second week in a row.
