4. Dissly reclaims starting role

Greg Olsen’s arrival in Seattle pushed Will Dissly down the depth chart. The Washington product seized the starting role in each of his first two seasons but only played ten total games. His first two years both ended in long stays on injured reserve. Early in 2020, Dissly is splitting key snaps with Olsen, but the 24-year-old could win his role back from the former Pro Bowler.

At this point, one breakout game could swing the scales between Dissly and Olsen. Injuries to Sean Lee and Vander Esch left the Cowboys weak at linebacker. It’s the perfect opportunity for Dissly to get involved in Seattle’s passing game again.

3. Reed picks up two sacks

Seattle’s defensive front needs to wake up. The whole unit went to sleep after Frank Clark left a year ago, and it hasn’t shown any signs of life since. When Jarran Reed played alongside Clark, he amassed 10.5 sacks and 24 quarterback hits. A suspension shortened Reed’s 2019 season, and he never got into a rhythm with Jadeveon Clowney and Rasheem Green. However, the 27-year-old has no excuse this season.

The Seahawks gave Reed a two-year, $23 million extension this offseason. So far, the Alabama product hasn’t lived up to his price tag. Through two games, Reed has five tackles and one quarterback hit. Jamal Adams leads Seattle with two sacks. Bruce Irvin is the only other player with a sack, and he tore his ACL in Week 2. Someone has to step up.

Dallas had the NFL’s best offensive line three or four years ago, but the unit looks very different today. Travis Frederick is gone, La’el Collins is injured, and Tyron Smith continues missing time. Seattle’s pass rush can finally make an impact against Dallas’ weakened offensive line.
