DraftKings NFL Week 3 values: Defense/Special Teams

Any defense that draws Adam Gase and the Jets (a terrible band name, by the way) is worth overpaying for. However, while we certainly endorse the Indianapolis Colts (IND vs. NYJ, $4,100), there are better values out there.

A young, but talented Tampa Bay Buccaneers (TB at DEN, $3,700) unit should tame a Broncos offense that’s missing Courtland Sutton, Drew Lock, and Phillip Lindsay. The D/ST slot is heavily reliant on matchups; few are anywhere near as appealing as this one.

The New England Patriots (NE vs. LV, $3,200) should subdue a Las Vegas Raiders offense featuring two studs who nursed injuries on the sidelines during practice this week: Josh Jacobs (hip) and Darren Waller (knee). While both logged limited reps on Friday after missing two straight practices, the Raiders will miss the services of speedy, first-round field-stretcher Henry Ruggs III.

Bargain bin options for those wishing to spend every cent on the QB, RB, WR, and TE positions are the New York Giants (NYG vs. SF, $2,700), who face a San Francisco 49ers offense that’s missing Deebo Samuel, Jimmy Garoppolo, Raheem Mostert, and George Kittle, and the Carolina Panthers (CAR at LAC, $2,200), who draw rookie quarterback Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers.
