Bold predictions for the New England Patriots in Week 3 against the Raiders.

Entering the third week of the 2020 NFL season, one of the most intriguing teams so far in the league has been the New England Patriots.

With question marks surrounding just how this Patriots team would look going into a new season without legendary quarterback Tom Brady leading the charge on offense, New England has put those questions to rest led by new quarterback Cam Newton while hitting the ground running early on in the 2020 campaign.

In Week 3, the Patriots look to continue to keep the positives rolling when they face off against a fellow AFC opponent back at home in Foxborough.

On Sunday afternoon, New England will welcome in the undefeated Las Vegas Raiders into Gillette Stadium for a nice early-season test between two surprisingly successful teams at the young stages of the regular season schedule.

The Patriots come into the game at 1-1 overall, coming off of a narrow loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2 on Sunday Night Football.

In that loss, New England looked surprisingly successful against one of the top teams in the NFC and the NFL in general, nearly taking the game in the final seconds before ultimately being stopped at the goal line with a chance to steal a game on the road.

In Week 2 in their first road game of the season, the Patriots went shot-for-shot with the Seahawks and put themselves in a position to improve to an undefeated 2-0 returning back home this weekend. Although there were plenty of positives to take away from that defeat, New England ultimately dropped back down to .500 after taking a season-opening win to begin the year.

On the other side of the field Sunday, Las Vegas enters the game at 2-0 overall after putting on a dominant performance against the New Orleans Saints in Week 2, which was the first game played at the shiny new stadium in Las Vegas.

In the win, the Raiders looked impressive against a top-notch team such as the Saints, riding high off of a season-opening win to remain undefeated on the year.

Before New England and Las Vegas battle it out for what will be an entertaining matchup in Week 3, let’s dive into three predictions that will take place for the Patriots on Sunday afternoon.
