2. Cam Newton will continue to raise eyebrows

Another bold prediction that will occur for New England on Sunday afternoon in a matchup against Las Vegas at Gillette Stadium is that new Patriots quarterback Cam Newton will continue to raise some eyebrows around the league at the early stages of the season.

Through two games, Newton has surprised many in the NFL when it has come to just how fast he has been able to get acclimated to his new home in New England after signing with the Patriots as a free agent this offseason.

Along with that, Newton has put to rest all the concerns about if he would be able to return to form of what we saw earlier in his career and get back to that level of play while also staying healthy under center in New England.

Going into Week 3 this weekend, Newton has taking his new role with a new team in stride and looks to be a hidden gem that the Patriots snagged during the free agency period leading into the 2020 campaign.

While leading the charge of the New England offense, Newton has done a little bit of everything as we saw during his tenure with the Carolina Panthers earlier in his NFL career.

In the passing game, Newton has thrown for a total of 552 yards while completing 45 of his 63 pass attempts along with one touchdown. He has completed a total of 71.4 percent of his pass attempts while throwing just one interception over the two-game span.

On the ground, Newton has been the most lethal, which is what made him so dangerous earlier in his career to this point. In two games, Newton has tallied a total of 122 yards and four touchdowns on 26 carries, averaging 61 yards per game and 4.7 yards per carry in two contests.

In Week 3 against Las Vegas, there is no reason to believe Newton won’t continue to showcase those abilities while continuing to raise eyebrows among many in the NFL. So far, so good for both Newton and the Patriots when it comes to the new quarterback under center in New England.
