Stud: Minnesota looked better, but not good enough

The final stud for the Vikings in the Week 3 loss was that they looked much better than the first two weeks of games, but that ultimately doesn’t matter with suffering yet another loss.

From the opening kick off, the Vikings looked much more comfortable on both sides of the ball, something that didn’t occur in the first two weeks. While the defense, which has been dealing with injury issues, looked a bit better, the offense looked much more comfortable and was able to put together some nice drives on that side of the field.

Ultimately, there are no positives you can take away from a loss in the end, but if there was one for Minnesota, it was the fact that it looked a lot better than the first two defeats of the regular season.

Dud: Dropping to 0-3 on the year

With the loss, Minnesota drops to 0-3 overall and will have its work cut out for it to not only try and battle back into the division alongside the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions but rather into the NFC playoff picture as a whole.

Even worse for the Vikings is that they will have a few tough games coming up the next couple of weeks as well, having to hit the road to play the Houston Texans in Week 4 while facing off against the Seattle Seahawks the week after in Week 5.

Minnesota needs to turn things around quickly, but things are not looking great for the Vikings nearing the quarter mark of the regular season.
