Studs and duds for the New England Patriots from a Week 3 win over the Raiders.

The New England Patriots entered Week 3 of the 2020 NFL season with another early-season test against a tough opponent. Returning back home to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough for a showdown against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday afternoon, the Patriots hoped to get back in the win column while remaining undefeated at home this season. New England was also hoping to accomplish handing the Raiders their first loss of the new year.

By the end of the contest, the Patriots were able to accomplish just that, pulling out a 36-20 win on their home field to grab their second victory of the season.

In the first half, both teams were relatively quiet in the opening two quarters, by New England ended the half on a bright note. After the Raiders jumped out to a 3-0 lead after one quarter, the Patriots scored 13 unanswered points including a touchdown right before halftime to take a 13-3 advantage into halftime.

In the second half, New England was ultimately able to cruise to a victory, out-scoring Las Vegas 23-10 over the final two quarters to secure the win.

With the win, the Patriots improve to 2-1 overall on the season and remain near the top of the AFC East and AFC standings going into Week 4. In the loss, the Raiders were handed their first loss of the 2020 campaign and drop to 2-1 overall nearing the quarter mark of the regular season schedule.

New England gets back to action in Week 4 next weekend when it hits the road for a tough matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday evening in Kansas City. For Las Vegas, it returns to the field next weekend back at home when it hosts the Buffalo Bills on Sunday evening in Las Vegas.
