Ranking the five best games on Sunday in NFL Week 3.

Injuries were the storylines coming out of Week 2 in the 2020 NFL season. Whether it was the MetLife Stadium turf, the lack of offseason workouts or just bad luck, the week claimed one player after another, including a host of San Francisco 49ers, Saquon Barkley and Christian McCaffrey, among many others.

Fans and NFL teams alike can only hope that NFL Week 3 is better in this regard. But one thing that’s certain is that the third week of this tumultuous season will bring about some terrific matchups. Many fans are looking forward to the Monday Night Football showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens. However, Sunday has plenty to offer before then.

These are the five best games that fans should be watching on Sunday in NFL Week 3.

5. Dallas Cowboys vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks gave fans a heavy dose of excitement a week ago. Russell Wilson and Seattle put forth another offensive explosion against the Patriots as the quarterback threw for five touchdowns and posted a +14.2 in Completion Percentage Above Expectation, per Next-Gen Stats. Seattle also held off a Patriots comeback to get the win.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys had to orchestrate a comeback of their own at home against the Atlanta Falcons. They were down 20-0 to start the game and 29-10 at halftime. But Dak Prescott and the Dallas offense clawed back and got within two points with 1:49 remaining. They then completed a baffling onside kick.

The Falcons botched the opportunity to seal the game, standing around the ball rather than touching it before it traveled 10 yards and the Cowboys could grab it. Dallas then hopped on it, which gave them possession. A quick offensive strike put them in field goal range and they hit the game-winner to avoid an 0-2 start.

Seattle and Dallas represent two of the best offenses in the NFL with talented quarterbacks and dangerous wide receivers aplenty. Moreover, the defense of each team leaves a lot to be desired. That should open the door to craziness and a possible shootout, which should be highly entertaining in the late-afternoon slot.
