Stud: DE Kingsley Keke

A year ago, Kingsley Keke was a fifth-round draft choice from Texas A&M who played in 14 regular-season contests and finished with 10 tackles. He was also on the field for the Packers’ playoff split with the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers, totaling three stops.

Keke did not start on Sunday night at New Orleans. But that doesn’t mean he did not have a big impact in the team’s 37-30 victory. In fact, quite the opposite as he finished the evening with two tackles and Green Bay’s only two sacks of Saints’ quarterback Drew Brees. He also knocked down a pass and forced a fumble.

Could he find himself in the starting lineup sooner than later?

Stud: OLB Za’Darius Smith

He was quiet for the vast majority of the evening. But when the Green Bay Packers needed their defense to step it up in the fourth quarter, outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith came up with a huge play. The team’s sack leader in 2019 with 13.5 quarterback traps, he had amassed six tackles and two sacks in Green Bay’s first two games this season.

Against the Saints, he never got to Drew Bree. But in the fourth quarter on Sunday evening and with Taysom Hill at quarterback for Sean Payton’s team, Smith nailed him on a running play and not only forced a fumble but recovered it as well. It set up the Packers’ go-ahead field goal and gave the team the lead for good.
