NFL Power Rankings, Week 4: Seahawks, Packers keep surging
By Randy Gurzi
Three games in the books for Joe Burrow and three near wins. The Cincinnati Bengals rookie quarterback has been fantastic this season despite the issues the team has in keeping him protected. He even had to leave for a play when he was absolutely crushed but came back in and continued to fight hard as he and his club were able to secure a tie against the favored Philadelphia Eagles.
Burrow finished the day with 312 yards and two touchdowns while completing 31-of-44 pass attempts. He has continued to show that the speed of the NFL game isn’t too much for him as he’s been calm, cool, and efficient in all three starts.
Eventually, they’re going to start getting some wins and it nearly happened in this one. They also could have lost as the Eagles were in range to try a 64-yard field goal at the end but for some reason elected to punt it to the Bengals with enough time for just one more play.
Cincy could very well get their first win this coming weekend as they will host the Jacksonville Jaguars who have been moving in the wrong direction. This season won’t be the one where we see the Bengals contend for a Wild Card spot but their future does look bright.
