NFL Power Rankings, Week 4: Seahawks, Packers keep surging
By Randy Gurzi
After a surprising 27-20 loss in Week 1 to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Indianapolis Colts have been able to turn things around over the past two weeks. They had a convincing 28-11 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2 and then in Week 3, they completely destroyed the New York Jets by a score of 36-7.
Quarterback Philip Rivers was in full command of the offense, completing 17-of-21 passes for 217 yards with a touchdown. They also had another solid outing from Jonathan Taylor, who went for 59 yards and a touchdown in the win.
As good as they were on offense, it was the Colts defense that really stood out in this one. They made life miserable on Sam Darnold who threw for just 168 yards with a touchdown and three picks on the day.
Two of those picks were courtesy of Xavier Rhodes and one came from T.J. Carrie — and each of them had one pick-six on the day. They had this one wrapped up early as the second half went extremely fast as they were simply running the clock down to walk away with the win and the 2-1 start.
Indy is behind the Titans right now, who are 3-0, but they’re still in the mix in the AFC South.
