NFL Power Rankings, Week 4: Seahawks, Packers keep surging
By Randy Gurzi
It’s hard to find anyone playing better than Russell Wilson is right now. The Seattle Seahawks are off to a 3-0 start and their young quarterback has made no apologies for his play by saying he believes he’s the best in the NFL right now. And while that might sound overly-cocky coming from the normally quiet Wilson, he’s not wrong.
Entering Week 3, he had already put up some impressive numbers, and then he was lights out again with 315 yards and five touchdowns in their 38-31 win over the Dallas Cowboys. And in fact, it could have been six touchdowns had it not been for one gaffe from D.K. Metcalf.
Wilson had hit Metcalf deep for what would have been a 63-yard touchdown but he slowed down, thinking he had the score. That allowed Trevon Diggs to punch the ball out, and it went out of the back of the end zone, giving the Cowboys a touchback.
That was the only mistake made on offense all day for Seattle as they were able to outduel the Cowboys. Having said that, they still have some work to do on defense. They won here but the constant shootouts are going to end up being a problem. They’re going to have to stop someone eventually.
